This weekend is a busy one for me. I like to be busy, but I like to get my "To Do List" completed with out 4 new gray hairs popping up. Did I mention I am trying to quit smoking this week, I have not had any for 7 days now and well lets just say its not been the best of weeks to quit cold turkey. I stayed up late tonight to change sheets on the beds and add some flare to the bedrooms for the girls with some bright pink sheets, rugs, and pillow shams. Little by little I will have these rooms decorated and adorable. Decorating on a budget definitely takes time. I have to post some things in This-n-That eBay Store this weekend, it is a must. I want to reach a certain amount of items in my store before December. I will keep you updated on that goal. Maybe if I hold myself accountable it will get done. Got to shop for some candy for trick or treaters. Need to visit Michael's and the thrift store. Of course Sunday is Halloween and we will be trick or treating after we go to a dinner gathering with my family. Then we will be carving pumpkins and doing pumpkin seeds that night. I am excited for this part. I am going to try a new recipe for pumpkin seeds I found at Mama Go Round. After all the excitement I have 4 crochet purses to put together so they can finally make their debut. I know I am missing something, but for now that is all I can think of. Of course it is almost 4am and I am getting that sleepy bogged memory. What busy weekend plans do you have on top of trick or treating?

Favorite Ways To Promote Your Site
If I worked a regular work week then it would be good that today is Friday, but for me its my Wednesday. It has been a long week already. I have been working hard to find ways to promote my Fan Pages on Facebook and that can take some time. I know the basic ways of promoting with twitter, or facebook, I even have been doing some traffic exchanges. I just need more ways. I need some good ideas right now and I have to tell you in all my searching I did find this great page call Friday Night Slumber Party Giveaways. You can donate something for their giveaway that they do every other Friday night and then they will promote your fan page for you. Love the idea and I could use some more like that. My search is not over, but I wanted to share this one with you. What are your favorite ways to promote your websites, blogs, fanpages? I cant wait to hear from you. Happy Friday.. and thanks for stopping by.

Sunday Relax and Surf and Update
It has been a busy week for sure. Lots going on right now and cant believe that Sunday is already here. Here is an update on what is going on. My blog got an update thanks to Lisa at My Colorful Treasures Web Design and Development. She did an amazing job and currently I am working on cleaning it up a bit so excuse my dust while I am organizing my side panel a bit. Lisa was so helpful and always is willing to explain everything and give tips and hints where needed. Any time I have a question I email her and she gets back to me right away. Her prices are wonderful and affordable. Again Thank you to Lisa.
Speaking of Lisa she has also created a website for my mom. My mom is the owner of Our Creative Hands. Our Creative hands is a store that sells primitive signs, fabric items, and wood work. If you go to their fan page on facebook they are having an Open House Giveaway. Stop by Our Creative Hands Fan Page to find out more information. Great to win something for your own house or to give as a gift. Christmas is right around the corner.
Also this week Mama Auctions has joined Facebook and is having a referral contest. Mama Auctions is an online auction site that you can buy or sell. Registration is free, eStores are free, no listing fee's and the final value fee is only 2%. Can't beat that. Have something to sell? Maybe just want to shop online a bit, find some great deals there. To find out more about their referral contest check out their NEW Fan Page.
Have a great day and remember to relax a bit, its Sunday. I know I like to get ready for a new week by writing a week to do list, cleaning up a bit, and relaxing. What do you usually do on Sunday's? I love comments, so please feel free to tell me how you spend your Sunday.

Just Because I Am A Work At Home Mom
I have been venting about this secretly for a long time, but I think its time for me to voice my opinion. We decided over three years ago that I would stop working outside the home and stay home with the kids. I have always wanted to do that and have no problems at all with that. I was excited and put in my two week notice the next day. Although I was not going to be working outside the home that did not mean that I was not going to need to bring in some money. So I began my search for a job that I could do from home. I had done some freelance and phone jobs from home in the past, but this needed to be a full time thing to make any money. Flash forward to now.. I work full time online doing various things, customer service, data entry, selling on eBay and ChaCha. On top of those things I am in the process of creating some crochet items to sell online as well. I am working well over full time hours but that is the pay off to be able to stay home with my kids. I am not going to vent about that, but my vent is about how just because I am a work at home mom does not mean I have my whole day to do what ever I want. Just because I am a work at home mom does not mean that I can keep my house spotless from morning until night. Just because I am a work at home mom does not mean that I dont have to follow any type of schedule. Some of my work does require me to schedule hours and show up for shifts. Just because I am a work at home mom does not mean that I can get all the laundry done, ironed, and folded all in a few hours. And just because I am a work at home mom does not mean that I dont need some help now and then. For some reason most people think that working from home is a piece of cake and that its not really working. I promise you some days I wish that I did have a job outside the home and my job as a mom and job to bring in an income were separate. I am not complaining, in this economy there are lots of people that are just looking for a job, I am lucky to have the opportunity to work from home and be with my kids. I just want the recognition that I in fact do work and I am not just being lazy all day. LOL Now that I have vented tell me what is your Just Because I am a work from home mom?

Telling a child that someone has passed away
That has to be the hardest thing that you have to do. I got a text from my kids dad last night that his mom passed away. My kids are still young so they really spend a lot of time with their grandmother. He could not figure out how to tell them and honestly I didnt know how either. I just figured that it was the least I could for him and her. She was a wonderful person and will be missed greatly. I told them tonight and I have to say it was the hardest thing for me to try and be strong for them. Of course they instantly cry and want to call their dad. To watch their faces so sad and hurt just broke my heart. Especially my seven year old, she is young and was close to her grandmother. They went to bed sad with encouraging words from me that everything will be okay and to keep her memories with them. I was not going to tell them today, but the one thing that helped me decide was I stepped outside earlier this evening and the biggest rainbow was in the sky. It gave me piece of mind that I could tell them and she was giving me the okay that everything would be okay. I am not sure if I believe in those signs or dont but it was exactly how I felt looking at it. That she was brightening up the gloomy sky with her smile. It is hard enough to lose someone you love, but to have to tell children they have lost someone to me is harder. If you have had to tell your kids the same thing, I would love to hear your comments and how you dealt with it. Pin It

Who is this person?
Have you ever looked in the mirror one day and thought who is this person. Have you ever walked down the street and saw someone you knew so you turned and walked the other way so they would not see you? Have you looked at a picture and said to yourself is that me? That has been me recently, well the last few months. I dont know if you just get wrapped up into motherhood and you become last or if you just forget to stop and take a minute to take care of you. I know for me I just let life go by and worried about everything around me and not me. I keep telling myself next month I will do that, next month I will buy that. It's been six months now and I am still looking in the mirror and not recognizing who it is I see. A couple of weeks ago I woke up and said it was time that was it I am going to take some time for me again and remember that if I dont take care of myself I cant take care of my kids. Still has not actually gone into effect until the other day. I walked with my head down so no one would recognize me. How can I teach my kids to hold their heads up high if I cant. So today is really the day. I am going to stop wearing my pajama's all day, and stop making excuses why I dont put on my make up, do my hair, or basically just care. Just because I work from home does not mean that I cant look good. I always say, I dont go anywhere, or see anyone. That is the last time I will say that. So if you hear me say it again please stop me. I lack motivation right now and could need all that i can get. Baby steps is what I told myself.. I want to know that girl in the mirror again and like her. Have a great Friday!

Missing In Action
I have not really posted much lately, guess I have been MIA. Things have been busy lately it seems, I have been trying to get some crochet projects done which I finally got a beanie done and my very energetic three year old to pose for a picture. I have been trying to get some new things listed on eBay. I just listed a few Gymboree items that are great deals, check them out HERE. My mom has opened a new site called Our Creative Hands where she does primitive signs, shelves and dolls. And I have decided to take on a new project called Mama Auctions. A place that you can sell handmade, new, or used items. I will be having a referral contest starting soon so keep checking back for that. Great prize for the winner. My weight loss took a seat on the back burner and I will be getting back into my Tuesday Tone up this week.
