New Stuff but not sure what the issue is??

I have been working hard lately every day trying to create something new. I have been working full time and then putting in the hours afterward to make at least one new item every day if not every other day. I am just not getting the responses that I wanted. I am disappointed right now that I have not made one sale. I promote on Facebook, twitter, and I have my Etsy Store and I am not sure what it is. I am asking for some help. Some opinions really. Just some comments. Is it my products? Is it my prices? Maybe my store or my pictures? I am not sure and I dont know what I am doing wrong. I need some advice. About 4 years ago I tried to do this business once before. I LOVE crocheting and creating and I want this to work but it didnt work last time and I spent more money on supplies and the business then I could afford. It is getting there again and I dont want to give up. So If you have been in my shoes and you have some words of wisdom please share them with me. I have been doing blog hops and trying to find more crafting blogs as well, and still not getting the traffic I am striving for. I do not want to give up my dream again but as we all have bills those come first and this will go to the back burner if it has to. Please comment and tell me any thoughts you may have.

Studypoint, should I use a tutoring program for my children

My son is 11 and in the 6th grade. Both of my boys are in the GATE program and they are smart kids, but they just dont know how to organize time or study. I never seen them studying actually and always have to bug them about home work and ask to see their homework calendars. This past week my son was up all hours of the night trying to do some homework and when I asked him why it was so much he had known about it for a week and just started it last minute. School always came easy to me so I am not sure how to teach my kids how to be good studiers. I am worried because I want them all to go to college and not just work full time like I did. I never too my SAT's because I chose to move out of my home early and work full time and try to juggle some community college with that. I dont want the same things for my kids. I am thinking about a program called Studypoint. They not only offer SAT tutoring but they offer Math Tutoring and ACT tutoring. They also work with improving your childs grades in subjects such as Biolgy, Spanish, Writing, and Chemistry. I know that I struggled in a foreign language and could have used the help, even though my family spoke the language it is not the way they teach it and I could have used an expert. Really being a parent and a mother of a larger family I not only look at what a program has to offer but what others say about it. Since inception, Studypoint and its experienced tutors have helped over thirteen thousand students nationwide increase their confidence, while achieving higher grades and test scores. I think that if I dont know how to teach my kids how to study and there is a program that can help then with the skills they need to get further in their education then I am the one with all the power to point them in the right direction. Studypoint is a program that I want to share with others and if I can help one other parent find a way to help their child and take the stress out of education then I will be happy. Learning should be fun and not a headache. Let's face it not all mother's or father's these days can sit down and give children the one on one time they need when they are struggling. We have to work full time and in most families both parents have to work. I know in a large family like mine there are not enough hours in one night to give the one on one attention for studying a child may need when they have a subject they are stuck on. I am grateful I found Studypoint and look forward to going further with it as my other children get older and may need the same help.

Another New Hat Done. Great Photo Prop for Babies

I just finished that hat tonight. It is really very cute, but I am thinking that it would be much better as a photo prop for babies. My 4 year old would not keep her eyes open for me to get a good picture, but I will try again tomorrow. I wanted to make sure that it fit her and she was so sleepy she just laid down and went to sleep. This hat worked up really fast and I still think it would be very adorable on a newborn. Can be made in any color combinations too. Even blue for boys. What do you think?Anyone a photographer that wants to swap the hat for pics of a newborn in this same hat custom colors of your choice?
I just added a new picture of my daughter wearing the hat and she is awake and smiling this morning. LOL hope its a better picture.

New Beanie Adding to This-n-That Boutque

I have not been really doing much when it comes to crafting lately. I have been a little sick and trying to work my "other job". I did finally get a little time to work up this new beanie. I am going to call it Glam Girl Pom Pom Beanie. I do like it and I am going to do a few in some other colors. I wanted to try it in these ones first. Tell me what you think?

A Week in Review....

Where did the week go? Wow I had a busy week and I feel like it was just Monday. I started the gym this week and I have to say that the first day I thought I was never going to go back. I have not been to the gym in so long and I have not had regular exercise in my day to day activities I think my body was in shock. I was on the elliptical and I was panting and huffing and puffing while my sister miss skinny mini was not even breaking as sweat. I tried hard to keep up but there was no way. I felt better by the end of the week, but we did break it up and do treadmill, elliptical, and weights. Next week we are bumping it up to 5 days for the week and also going to try a Zumba class. Good luck to me, I will be the one in the back either crying in the fetal position or passed out on the floor. I am not used to fitting in the gym to my daily routine so that took a toll on my house work. By the middle of the week my house was so messy I was going crazy. I had to stay up a few nights late just to get it cleaned up. But although I almost broke down and gave up the gym because the house was so messy I wont do it. I will have to find a balance. Along with all of this, working, and for some reason It seemed I had tons of errands that had to get done this week. I had a doctors appointment, they happened to take my blood pressure and although I am carrying all this extra weight my blood pressure is good. Hmm how does that happen when I have so much grey hair from stress. It is a mystery. My son got stitches while visiting his dad up north over Christmas break and we had to get those removed this week too. So with all that being said, I dont think I got to crochet one thing. So sad for sure since I am falling behind on my goal already to have my site up and going. I did join a yahoo group for business woman, I found a photographer that is willing to do pictures of my hats and products, and I joined Mama Made USA. I cant say that the whole week was a waste for crafts and I did get some things done. This week coming up I have my daughters 4th birthday party on Monday and a Doctor appointment Friday. Let's hope I can get a few hats done too. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hello Kitty Hat, Finally something New!

Finally I have finished something New to add to This-n-That Boutique. I am trying to stick to my resolution or goal of getting 30 samples done so that I can get pictures taken and get my website up and going. The pattern I purchased was with earflaps so I will make one of those next. I just thought that it would be cute to make one without to. I think I will do ones in different colors. I am just such a perfectionist that after I made this one I already know what I will be doing differently. Nothing to the look of it really just the putting the pieces on and how it is all put together and the yarn on the bow. I want a thicker yarn to make it a little more puffier if that makes any sense. This was a fast pattern and the hat worked up well. I tend to crochet a little tight so I at first did the bigger size and that was even to big for my 9 year old step daughter so I had to start all over to get a good size for my model. She is the one that likes to wear all my hats. She is 4 and she has room in this one. I got this adorable pattern from Sabrie Creations on Etsy. I love when I find a pattern that works up easy and the sizing is done well. I will post pictures of the ear flap version as soon as I work one up. I wont give a time frame on that because well I am am VERY proud I got this sample worked up so fast. Hopefully in the next 2 days of working a little less I will get a few more hats done. Custom orders always welcome at This-n-That Boutique. Happy Sunday!
